Mattie was diagnosed with Klippel Feil Syndrome at six months old. She also has unilateral hearing loss, and wears a hearing aid.

Mattie had spinal surgery at the Shriners' Hospital in Philadelphia. Doctors fused her skull and the six vertebrae in her neck. This is not her first surgery. Hopefully, the fusion will straighten her neck and prevent her from developing any more instability.

Her parents are hoping to find some organization to help them with flights from Atlanta to Philadelphia for Mattie's treatments and check ups. If you can help in that area, please contact Mattie's family.
