Maddison was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma in July of 2003. Ewing's sarcoma is a cancer with common sites being the pelvis, thigh, and torso. Chemotherapy is usually the treatment of choice.

Maddison has had surgery to remove the tumor and is now currently undergoing chemo. She enjoys singing and dancing, and she's currently taking ballet classes.
