Kady was featured on our site in 2006 and was inactive with the group for a while.  Now she's back and look how she's grown up in these three years!

Kady has a rare genetic disease called GLUTARIC ACIDEMIA. Because of this, her body cannot break down fats, proteins, or sugar to produce energy. Toxic substances build up in her body tissue and cause nausea, vomiting, weakness, hypoglycemia, and other problems.

She is hospitalized much of the time (over 70 times in her life!). She must be on a strict low protein, fat free, high carbohydrate, no sugar diet.

Kids at school make fun of Kady because she's slow and falls a lot, due to muscle weakness; but she's a loving, forgiving girl with a great attitude.  And she's an "A" student -- in spite of the fact that doctors said she'd have learning disabilities!

Kady considers herself fortunate and never complains.  She donated three feet of her hair to Locks of Love, because she's seen so many other kids without hair (due to chemotherapy).

Kady likes typical "girlie" things like shopping at Bath and Body Works, playing X-box, listening to music, and watching TV shows like Hannah Montana.
